Rustic Wedding Trends in the Fall
We just finished up a busy Fall Season at Arrowhead and couldn’t wait to share some of the trends that you should copy! We connected with Kristin from King Ranch Saddle Shop and she gave us some of her tips on how to plan for a rustic wedding and we couldn’t agree more!
When planning a rustic wedding, there are a few key décor pieces that set the tone. For signage, think: pallets, tree stumps, and vintage windows to tie in the feel of simplicity and charm. Engraved tree stumps and vintage windows with photos in them make great mementos well after the big day, too.
As far as centerpieces: mason jars, burlap, twine, and baby’s breath are country staples. If you’re veering more toward rustic elegance, it’s nice to incorporate some lace as well. These pieces can also be added to décor throughout the wedding (like a burlap aisle or twine-wrapped mason jars for guest’s drinks).
Obviously, Kristin at KR Saddle Shop is a pro when it comes to cowboy boots! She advised that for rustic wedding attire, it’s trendy to err on the more casual side. Grooms and groomsmen wear vests rather than 3-piece suits, and typically mix in some form of western wear like leather boots or cowboy hats. The bride and bridesmaids tend to incorporate lace and floral into their attire. And some even opt for cute cowgirl boots, which can make for a fun photo!
We agree with Kristin that no matter the location, tying up some string lights (Edison bulbs, fairy lights in mason jars, etc.) are a perfect complement to the rustic theme.
