An economical winter sport providing hours of fun and exercise for all ages…

This low-impact sport offers the health benefits of aerobic exercise and assists in burning calories and building muscles. Arrowhead Golf Club offers groomed trails and rental equipment. Trail access is provided free of charge. Rental equipment does require a fee. All rentals are by reservation only by calling 630.653.5800. Rental equipment can then be paid for and picked up on the lower level of the Arrowhead Golf Club Clubhouse. Skiing is allowed on the golf course in groomed areas only, not in roped-off areas. Skiers also have the opportunity to use the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve trails.

Safety First! Remember–Green means GO & Red means NO

The course is available for skiers when the flag just to the west of the Arrowhead Pro Shop is green and closed when the flag is red. A six-inch base and safe conditions are required for skiing.

Who can use the course at Arrowhead Golf Club?

Are there any age restrictions for participants?

10 years of age and older is suggested.

Are cross-country ski lessons offered?

Lessons are not available.

Where do I get equipment?

All rentals are by reservation only by calling 630.653.5800. Rental equipment can then be paid for and picked up on the lower level of the Arrowhead Golf Club Clubhouse.

What type of clothing should be worn?

To maintain the level of warmth that is comfortable to you, it is best to dress in layers. Gloves are important, we suggest wool vs. cotton if available.

Is snowshoeing allowed on the course at Arrowhead?

Snowshoeing is prohibited at Arrowhead Golf Club, but it is available through the Lincoln Marsh.

Weekends: 8A-Dusk

Rental Fees

Ski Package:
Includes skis, boots, pole rental for 2 hrs.
Adult: $25 | Child (Age 12 & under): $15

Individual Items:
Skis $15 | Boots $10 | Poles $7

*A security deposit is required to rent skis – credit card, driver’s license, student ID or car keys.
